UClass Students Rally Together Through Hurricane Sandy

With thousands of schools closed due to Hurricane Sandy, kids logged on to UClass to find community. They told their own stories and responded to others’ fears, sorrows and insights about the storm.

Kids who were directly affected by the hurricane found a place to share their voice and those who read about it in the news were able to get perspectives from other kids’ experiences. This is a great example of how UClass as a primary source can help kids to build a deeper understanding of and sense of responsibility for the events that are happening in their world.
