At the biggest education tech conference of the year, CEO & Founder Zak Ringelstein represented UClass at the 2013 ISTE Pitchfest in San Antonio, Texas. The competition attracted a number of participants from edtech start-ups, who were given the opportunity to pitch and defend their product in front of a panel of judges.
Earning his way through to the final round, Zak gave a five-minute pitch on UClass’ innovative assignment marketplace and fielded questions as judges provided commentary and pushback. Amongst a field of high caliber of companies, UClass made a truly impressive showing and won the popular vote.
Congratulations to Zak, the UClass community, and all the great start-ups that participated in the ISTE 2013 Pitchfest! Also, a special thanks to the panel of judges for offering their feedback and evaluating a great event: contributing writer to EdSurge Katrina Stevens, industry expert Steve Hargadon, Pearson’s Tom Hall, HP’s Jeannette Weisschuh, and Acting Director, Office of Educational Technology, U.S. Department of Education, Richard Culatta.
