For the first anniversary of the Sandy Hook tragedy, UClass has partnered with former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords and Nicole Hockley, a Sandy Hook parent, to unite schools across the world in the “Hands of Hope for Sandy Hook” lesson. We are calling teachers and students to write “I hope” sentences about how to make America safer on a cutout of their hands and post them on UClass.
Our goal is to get over 1,000 schools to share their hands so that we can assemble a digital collage that will bring hope to Newtown and America at large. You can find the lesson here with steps to participate outlined in this video.
Please join American classrooms in a lesson that truly matters.
