Teaming up with Senator Mark Warner of Virginia and the University of Virginia’s “Educating for Global Citizenship” class, UClass is announcing its “Speak Up for Immigration Reform” featured lesson. Over the coming weeks, we’re inviting students and teachers to debate this national issue and providing a platform for those involved to voice their thoughts on the global stage.
This comprehensive lesson on national immigration reform urges students to take an informed and proactive stance on this controversial issue. As noted by the Senator, “this collaboration challenges our young people to think about tough questions in order to arrive at their own informed opinions.”
In an effort to spark dialogue about this hot button topic, Warner has co-authored this social studies lesson with teacher Robin LeRosen. This lesson and its resources are suitable for students, grade levels 5-12. We welcome you to open your classroom for debate.
We invite you to engage your class in this exciting discussion here!
